The 18th edition of 500 Ferrari's against Cancer was organised by Sport and Collection. It is one of the biggest meetings of Ferrari's and modern and classic GT's in France. In cooperation with the Rotary club de Civray sud Vienne the event gathered more then over 500 Ferrari's to raise money for research against cancer. Since the first time the event got organised they already raised 2.3 million Euros where 300.000 Euros were collected in 2011.
Many exposants were present: Ferrari Pozzi, Francorchamps, Nart, Maranello and Filipinetti that represents Ferrari's from 1947 till 2011. A lot of different cars were present including a 333 SP, 575 GTC, 550 GT2 and GT3, 360 and 430 Challenge, Challenge Stradale, 458 Challenge but also a dozen of F40's to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the car. Also some racingcars were present like the 8755, 250 GT SWB, 250 GTO and GTE, 250 GT Lusso, 512 TR and many others.
For people who did want to see other cars then Ferrari's they could also take a look at the exposed GT's: Alfa Rome, Ford GT40, Howet TX, AC Cobra, McLaren MP4-12C and even a McLaren F1. But also Pescarolo, multiple Lola's, Bugatti's were there and Jaguar was present with the XKR and XKR-S. You could also find dealership Levallois Perret that was present with Lamborghini, Maserati and McLaren. This dealer was present with an Aventador LP700-4, a rare Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, multiple MP4-12C's and also a Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. But the car that draw the most attention was the new F12Berlinetta.
Owners from all over Europe came to France to show their beauty's. Even a Ferrari 250 GTO that is registered in Oregon was present.
Next year the event will be held in the beginning of june. It's worth visiting because of the cars but also for the research against cancer!
