A Royal Ride: Queen Elizabeth II spotted in London

Every now and then we see some celebrities on Autogespot, driving a brutal car. Think of British model Katie Price in a tuned Range Rover, Paris Hilton in a Lexus LF-A or all the football-players which are spotted all around Europe. How rare their cars are, they can’t be as exclusive as the Bentley State Limousine, owned by Queen Elizabeth II. Only two copies of this modern coach are made. It isn’t a surprise that this model was in our selection of ten topspots from the United Kingdom in 2012. Maybe this article encouraged spotter Gram’s Supercars to upload his own pictures of this State Limousine; this is the first time Her Majesty is spotted in this purple car.

Queen Elizabeth II got the State Limousine from Bentley in 2002 on the occasion of her golden jubilee. Ten years later, the car is still used for official occasions including all the events which took place last year, to celebrate the sexagenarian kingship. Gram’s Supercars was at one of these events and managed to spot the Queen and her husband Prince Philip while they greet an enthusiastic crowd. The Bentley State Limousine has a 6,75 liters V8 which produces up to 400 bhp but this modern coach normally doesn’t need to speed at official ceremonies like this one.
