Autogespot @ Geneva 2008

The Dutch frontpage already showed you some photos made on the biggest motor show in Europe. Autogespot Crew booked themselves in the local youth hostel and travelled to Switzerland for the most important motor show this year. Unfortunately the Audi R8 V12 TDI and Q7 V12 TDI left Geneva already... Check the photos and let us know what you think!

Alfa Romeo 8C Spider
Built almost completely from carbon is this 450 bhp Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. This stunning V8 powered car will be built by Maserati in Modena. The 8C Spider will get a canvas roof which will open and close fully automatic. Buyers can customize the colors of the roof, brakes, exterior and interior. Anything you want, Alfa Romeo makes sure you get it. The Spider has been sold out already so it's only going to be a matter of time now, before you can see one on the public roads.

Brabus
This is not the first time Brabus shows their vehicles on a big motor show. We see them on the Essen tuning show every year. Every show Brabus manages to create a car which looks very good. They not only look good, Brabus knows how to pump up the performance of the car. A while ago, they introduced the V12 Bullit. Brabus brought their mattblack C-class V12 Bullit to Geneva. This car creates more power than an Enzo Ferrari!

Bugatti Veyron by Hermès
This is probably the car which attracted the most attention in Geneva! Bugatti built this car in cooperation with the Parisian saddle-manufacturer Hermes, these days well known for their juwelery and leather products. This is not the first time Bugatti and Hermes worked together. Ettore Bugatti and Emile Hermes go back to the 1920's when they were very close friends. This is the result of a long friendship.

Fisker Karma
Finally, it's production ready! Not this year but from the end of 2009, Fisker will built their Karma. This new car will be all environmental friendly, sporty and luxurious. This car will be able to reach a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour. 0 to 100 kilometers per hour will take only six seconds. Fisker is planning to build 15.000 Karma cars a year, that more than Bentley! The first 99 cars will be signed by mister Henrik Fisker himself.

Fornasari
We don't really know Fornasari, even though it's on Autogespot a couple of times. The (for us) unknown car manufacturer brought their RR600, GRUPPO B and ZEV to the Geneva Motor Show. We really like the first car! The RR600 SUV has 610 bhp and 748 Nm torque. This amount of power makes the RR600 go to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds! That's bloody fast for a SUV which weighs 1700 kilos!

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4
Last week our colleagues on the Dutch frontpage showed you new photos of the Lamborghini Gallardo facelift. The front and rear are really changed. The real petrolheads can be exited because Lamborghini increased the power to 560 bhp. This facelifted Gallardo is 50 bhp stronger than it's competition, the Ferrari F430. We're wondering what's going to happen to the lighter but less powerful Gallardo Superleggera. Is it going to be just as popular? Don't forget the Gallardo Spyder, perhaps Lamborghini is thinking about building a roadster version of this facelifted Gallardo.

Mansory
The German tuning company Mansory is showing three cars on the Geneva Motor Show. Mansory decided to bring something else than an Aston Martin of Bentley. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, McLaren SLR and Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe have been modified by Mansory. The Phantom's only part that has not been modified is its engine, the rest has been visually as engine technically upgraded or tuned. Flasy or crappy? You decide.

Maserati Granturismo S
Maserati introduced the new GranTurismo a while ago and these beautiful GT's have been on the road for a couple of months now. The Italians showed an upgraded version of this GranTurismo on the Geneva Motor Show. This Italian coupe has a new 4.7 liter V8 which produces 440 bhp, that's good for a 0 - 100 kilometers per hour sprint in 4.9 seconds! Maserati installed a dual clutch transmission, this makes it possible to shift gears in 1/10th of a second!

Maybach Landaulet
Exclusive and extraordinary, this is the new Maybach Landaulet. The Landaulet is the open version based on the 62. You don't buy such a car for its performance. Okay, it has a V12 biturbo engine but that's not the most important reason to buy this car. The stunning roof is something nobody can keep its eyes away from. Two wealthy Dutch people have ordered one.

Pininfarina Sintesi
The Pininfarina Sintesi is partly based on the Maserati Birdcage. This is the oppertunity for Pininfarina to show what they are capable off. Most design companies in Europe are struggeling these days. Look at Bertone, they are facing bankrupcy.

Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe
The third car in the "Phantom" line is the Coupe. Rolls Royce will start building this car in its Goodwood factory this summer. This immense car has a 6.75 liter V12 and will be completely hand-built just like the Phantom. You can get almost anything in this car, the customers wish is their command. The Coupe is equipped with a Lexicon LOGIC7TM audio system: 15 surround speakers and two under-the-seat placed subwoofers!

Spyker
It has been a while but Spyker is back on track. They show their long-wheel-base version of the C8 in Geneva. This edition is equipped with an automatic gearbox. Spyker is also showing the SSUV in Geneva, we all know that car by now. Spyker hopes to get the first Peking-to-Paris cars on the road to their future owners next year. The D12 is a very exclusive car so we expect to see this car in the Middle East and the United States.

Hereby some more photos we took on the Geneva Motor Show 2008.
