BMW plans the successor of the BMW M1 in 2016!
Mercedes-Benz is successful with the SLS AMG. BMW is not happy with this, they miss a real supercar. As everyone will know, the SLS AMG is derived by the 300 SL from sixty years ago. BMW is also going to try this trick and according to a intern document they will present the successor of the BMW M1 in 2016! BMW still misses a real sports car and we are really looking forward to this car!
Still a long time to go for 2016 so we can’t say anything about the engine. Maybe a development of the 4.4 liters V8 engine which we also see in the BMW M5 and M6. But maybe they will come up with something like the powertrains of the future i-series. The exterior will probably look like the legendary BMW M1. Meanwhile a concept of this car is made. Do you like it or do you want to see something completely different?
