Fraternally they're standing next to each other but behind everybody's back there's a fight. Nobody loves to be surpassed and that's exactly what happened with the Carrera GT. For a long time, the Carrera GT was the showpiece of Porsche but this ended with the introduction of the 918 Spyder. The 918 Spyder definitely managed to surpass the Carrera GT!
Much faster, easier to drive and of course also hybrid. Everybody is very enthusiastic about the 918 Spyder. This while the Carrera GT is known as a hard car which isn't very easy to drive. Everybody can just step into the 918 Spyder and drive away. The Carrera GT is way harder to drive because of its hard to handle clutch. When we're looking at the power of the car the 918 Spyder also surpasses the Carrera GT with 887 hp versus 'only' 612 hp. Still it's a very hard choice between these two cars. The 918 Spyder may have less emotion because some will just miss the amazing sound of the V10 in the Carrera GT!
