More power for AMV8

The Aston Martin AMV8 is a wonderful car for a lot of people which they can probably only dream of. The looks of the car are stunning, it produces a wonderful sound but unfortunately the car hasn’t got enough power to be a true sportscar. Aston Martin also recognised this problem and are going to solve this, they are going to enlarge the AMV8’s engine!

The AMV8 used to have a 4.3 litre V8, this engine will be upgraded to a 4.7 litre V8. This engine will also produce some extra power. The new engine will produce 45 bhp more than the old engine, which produced 380 bhp. This means the AMV8 will get a total of 425 bhp. The torque will rise from 410 to 470 Nm. Due to this extra power the 0 to 100 km/h sprint will be done in 4.8 seconds, the car will stop accelerating at a topspeed of over 290 km/h.
The engine isn’t the only part that is changed by Aston Martin, they also changed the aerodynamics and some other components of the AMV8. The aerodynamics are modified to make the car stick to the road a bit better. The gearbox is changed, as both manual and F1 style gearbox are modified. This way you can change gears faster. The weight of the flywheel has been decreased, this way the car should respond faster when you put the pedal to the metal. The suspension is also modified slightly, this way you can go around corners faster.
These changes are made for both versions, the coupe and roadster. It isn’t sure when we can expect these changes. One thing is sure, the wonderful sound luckily remains.
