Home - 2008-08 - 30.000 euro service for a LP640 Hamann hoax

30.000 euro service for a LP640 Hamann hoax

Have your LP640 Hamann serviced for nearly 30.000 euro? Most of you must have read this little article somewhere on the World Wide Web, so no worries we won’t be posting it again. No we know that this news message isn’t right, so we tell you what happened.

According to the Dutch news site nu.nl the owner of this Murciélago LP640 flew his car from the Middle-East to London just to have it serviced. After this service the car would have been flown back, just after three days. Pretty bizarre, pay 30.000 euro for some maintenance is pretty much.
But we know that this story isn’t right. They are talking about is a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Hamann, this car is driving around London for quite some time now. The car was spotted near the end of June in London for the first time. This spot entered Autogespot on the 30th of June. Multiple people saw this car driving around London, crewmember Jaggie saw this car driving around London end July, so the car is at least four weeks in London, instead of three days. Perhaps the car has had some service, but after that the car wasn’t flown back, but just stayed in London.
Rich people from the Middle East fly each summer almost all to Western Europe (Dutch article) and of course bring a lot of expensive cars with them. It would be a shame to enter London without you fat ass LP640 Hamann with you. Flying the car to Europe will just cost 5.000 euro and not 28.000. At the end of the summer the car will probably return to Quatar. When this will happen both owner and car stayed for some weeks, if not months in London.

It was pretty funny that a lot environmental organisations talked ashamed about this story. This story was the prove that rich people didn’t car about the environment. Maybe these organisations should do some more research, because we’ve proved that this storry is just fake.
We hope we’ve convinced you all and next time you won’t take everything you read for granted.
