It seems that photography is becoming increasingly popular on Autogespot. Some spotters know how to take beautiful photo’s of cars they come across. With a fine eye for composition, lighting and other techniques that have to do with photography they can make marvelous photos of a car that is simply parked. Sometimes you can find a photoshoot of a special car on our frontpage. It’s also fun to make pictures at car dealerships or events. Photography is a fun hobby!  

Rotterdam is one of the largest cities in Holland. With 2234 cars spotted here, at the moment of writing, the city is one of the better places in Holland to visit to see great cars. Besides that, Rotterdam is quite varied, concerning the spots. From a rare Ariel Atom to an electric Tesla Roadster; in Rotterdam, there’s a chance of seeing one of those. Or how about a true James Bond car? The Aston Martin DB5 seems to be the most loved car amongst Aston Martin-enthusiasts. And of course, we know Rotterdam to be the hometown of one particular inhabitant with a great collection of cars, which are actually being used.  

Today, for once not a tuned car as our spot of the day and no ridiculously fast Lamborgini or terribly loud Ferrari. Lotus has long been making decent cars, which are very suitable for track-use. For example the Exige and 340R (Dutch articles). Perfect for the track but still an uncommon sight on the public road. Especially in the worldly Knokke-Heist, a brightly coloured Lotus stands out. Seeing a 2-Eleven on the road is very special, since it is a trackday-car pur sang, so you would rather expect it near a circuit like the Nürburgring. Think again; spotter-group "Murcielago" came across this roofless Lotus in Knokke-Heist on a lovely Sunday.  

Aston Martin's new supercar, the One-77, will be delivered to customers mid 2010. Aston Martin is busy putting the car through its final tests. Recently they went to a circuit in Southern Europe to do some high speed tests. The One-77 achieved a top speed higher than any Aston Martin before did, to be exact 354 kilometers per hour.  

Like so many people we too celebrate the second day of Christmas today. Despite the festive mood we received a fair amount of spots and from those we chose a Porsche Carrera GT as our spot of the day. Only three Carrera GT’s were uploaded this month and that shows once again that it is a car which is quite difficult to spot. Of course the winter and changing weather-conditions play a big role in this but this guy ignored all that and we thought this was very special.  

A while ago, we have met the penomenon that is the Spyker Aileron. The first time that we saw it completely was at Pebble Beach in August. Once again, it was clear how well Spyker was doing in their field of business. However, Spyker is still a Dutch brand, so we were waiting for the first photos of the Aileron in our own country. Spotters “The Friezen crew” were the first to spot the Aileron in the Netherlands, but spotter “The Labor International” had the honour to spot the second Spyker Aileron.  

It is Christmas day and everyone in the Netherlands can probably roll from all the delicious food. We have managed to get away from the turkey and all the other food to choose a spot of the day. It had to be something with Christmas or snow in it, so some of the spots already didn't make it. Finally there was a big ‘black and white’ combo left, so today we bring you a Porsche Panamera 4S as our spot of the day!  

Again, Autogespot has had a truly great year! Many, many spots made it onto our website from all over te globe. We hope 2010 will be an even better year with many scoops, enough great spots and of course even more driving tests. Since this year is nearing its end, you will soon see our annual report and the outcome of the 'Spot of the year'-election. On this lovely Christmas-eve we naturally bring you our daily spot of the day. Today, we have chosen a spot from the sociable London. During the Christmas-season, the city turns into one big cozy Christmas-scenery. Usual London-visitors Dimi and Tom came across this remarkable BMW X6 M with the name ‘Rensson’. Today under the mistletoe: a BMW X6 Rensson.  

It was not easy to find a qualified spot of the day between all of the spots that were uploaded on our website today, but as always we found one which is, in some way, very special. Today we chose a white car, which was spotted in the Saint-Tropez of the North Sea; Knokke-Heist! Spot-group Fiorano spotted a fine, white Ford Focus RS in the city centre.  

The weather is really crap here in the Netherlands, first we get thaw, then it starts to freeze again. Today it rained and snowed and the public transport is still pretty much crippled. Quite the opposite on the southern hemisphere where the summer has just started. The sun is shining and the temperature is rising. It’s there where we find our spot of the day, a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale that was spotted in the sunny Sydney.  

Today, the 21st of December, the winter has officially started. While we are enjoying the snow in Holland and Belgium already for a couple of days now, it actually still wasn’t winter at all. The cold and snowy weather isn’t the most ideal type of weather for us carspotters, for many special cars will most likely stay parked. However, that didn’t stop us from electing another spot of the day. Today, this title belongs to a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8, which did actually drive in these winterly conditions.  

Once again, for this episode of the "matte colours" series, we have been flooded with spots in which the cars have been suited with mainly a matte black wrap. Slowly but surely we are seeing other matte colours than black. How about matte grey? Or matte white? Just like last time, there isn’t a particular make that stands out, so we can provide for a variety of cars. Quickly look further to see which matte cars we have lined up for you this time!  

The Lotus Elise S1 is one of the most affordable and quickest trackday-cars money can buy. A sophisticated car with a huge performance on the track. It eats Ferrari's for dinner and Porsches for desert. Only during a photoshoot, its little engine gets to rest. The photoshoot below was done by a frequent visitor of Autogespot from France.  

The convertible version has already been spotted, but now, we can finally welcome the coupé version of the Hamann Black Miracle on our website. Spotter Speedin came across this Ferrari F430, tuned and customized by Hamann, in his hometown Moscow, the city that has been delivering a great amount of topspots lately.  

Not so long ago, Dodge announced that 2010 will be the last production year of the Viper SRT-10. Obviously very sad and all, but until then, we were spoiled with special editions of this two-seater. The latest of them is the Viper SRT-10 ACR-X. A stripped version of the regular SRT-10 ACR, for track use only.  

The new Batman-movie hasn’t even been filmed yet, but the new Batmobile has already been spotted in the busy traffic in New York. Presumably, it needs to keep running, before the real job starts and this Batmobile is supposed to star in the movie. You’ll probably have already figured out that this is not actually the new Batmobile, but just a replica, based on a Corvette C4.  

While half the Netherlands is crippled by that tiny layer of snow, people in warmer countries are still using their cameras. In Dubai for example. Autogespot visitor '911' received his brand new Porsche 997 Turbo there. He took some pictures of his new pride and joy and there was one very nice one among them!  

For a while now, Ferrari has a unique program with which it is possible to customize your very own Ferrari as much as you would like. What could be better than driving around in a Ferrari that you have composed yourself and is therefore a one-off, only one exists in the entire world. It is an exclusive program where the owner is able to build an one-off Ferrari with the help of no less than Michael Schumacher, other designers and a couple of important people from the Ferrari-headquarters. Until now, we have only seen two personalized Ferrari’s on the internet. Now, Ferrari has created a new one-off model and they're showing it to the world. We are talking about the Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta one-off.  

Red has always been the colour for a Ferrari. White, on the other hand, is a colour that we don’t see as much. A few times on a F430 or 599 GTB, but a white 575 M is much more interesting. For this particular model, red is also the mostly seen colour. White is certainly an exception for this Ferrari.
