Official: the new Porsche 911

At Porsche they thought it was time to refresh the Carrera models. Last year this facelift of the Carrera was already spotted on the Nuerburgring and now this car has officially been revealed.

You can spot some minor changes on the exterior of the car, but most changes can be found under the body of the Carrera. Both the Carrera and Carrera S will receive an automatic seven speed gearbox with a double clutch, the engine will also receive a new direct fuel injection system. This new gearbox will replace the old Tiptronic gearbox, now you can change gears without the loss of traction and torque.

The 3.6-litre boxer engine from the Carrera produces an extra 20 bhp, this gives the car 345 bhp. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is now over in just 4.7 seconds. Due to the fact that the environment is a critical point, the last years Porsche also took a look at the fuel consumption. They made the fuelconsumption drop to 9.8 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres.

The Carrera S even got 30 extra bhp so this car now has 385 bhp. Towards 100 km/h the S is 0.4 seconds faster than the normal Carrera, so it just takes 4.3 seconds. The car has a topspeed of 300 km.h.

As said before, the exterior changes are pretty hard to find. We can find on both the front and the back LED-lights, the bumpers are also slightly modified. Who will be the first to spot this facelift?
