What about the car, the star in this article. As mentioned before it is a Porsche 996 GT3, the first model of the 996 GT3. Of the 996 model two types of GT3 are produced. The first one, this car, is usually seen as more brutal and less civilized car. Porsche introduced the 996 GT3 back in 1999, two years later than the Carrera. The GT3 is a roadversion of a proper racecar, it’s based on the car which drove in the GT3 Cup races. With a background of a race competition it is clear that this won’t be a car to drive around town. With the hard suspension, race clutch and a light flywheel it is difficult to drive calm in this car. The GT3 MkI has over 360 bhp and weighs less than 1400 kilos. This way you’ll never get bored in this car. If you drive this car, you’ll have to work, you won’t get traction- and stabilitycontrol. This makes it a real driverscar, you can feel the car is almost “alive”, this is how a proper car should be.

The look of the 996 is debatable, or you love these headlights or you think they’re just ugly. There are a few differences in appearance between the MkI and MkII. The headlights are slightly different and the MkII has a straight spoiler. The spoiler on this on is smoother and, in my opinion, fits the car much better. The interior is truly basic and racy, you can see this car was originally produced for the circuit. The beautiful bucket seats keep you perfectly in place. The black rims look perfect under this silver body. For a Porsche lover this is a wonderful car to get in front of the camera.
In Deventer these photo’s where shot, on two different locations. The first pictures where shot near the river IJssel. The second location was an old industrial terrain in Deventer. Especially near the IJssel people made a lot of nice reactions. Some guys asked: “Why isn’t there a nice lady lying on the hood of this car?” A photoshoot is something completely different, compared to normal car spotting. At a shoot you’ve got all the time of the world. You can experiment with your camera, and put the car in different positions. Eager to see the result? Just look at the pictures.
