Autogespot, regularly receives spots where the car has special or matching license plates. In many countries it is possible to get a personalized license plate on a car. This is not only fun for the owner but also for the bystanders with no knowledge of cars. In this episode of the series we see a lot of various spots and brands. We see two license plates that are not quite successful. The owner of an Aston Martin AMV8 Vantage thought to be funny by sticking N400 on his license plates. Also we have a Ferrari California where the license plates appear to be not fully successful.  

Now that we are in Geneva, we will not take half measures. Next to our visit to the Lamborghini-dealership, we also walked through Geneva itself. We spotted some exotics which we certainly like to share with you. The list of spots can be more worse, but for Swiss concepts it can also be much better! Hopefully we can make it up tomorrow, when we visit two other cities.  

Pagani has shown us a lot of special models during the years. One of the latest is the Cinque, of which only five have been produced. It is a streetlegal edition of the Zonda R, especially requested by the Pagani dealership in Hong Kong. In the meanwhile, exclusive pictures have been taken at the dealership where three of the five Cinques are.  

In the meanwhile, a lot of top ten-lists have passed by, but only one of them was missing. This is the one after which we finally leave 2009 behind us. This time no cars but the women who take care of distraction at the larger carshows, like Frankfurt and Geneva. Who were the best? The women from Lamborghini or the pretty girl at Maserati in Geneva? Obviously, there is the Lotus 340R, a fantastic car for the track but not suited when the weather is not as good as always, rain is pouring down and the clouds are getting darker and darker. That is why at the end of the nineties, Lotus developed a car that was supposed to be revealed at the beginning of 2000. The car would look a lot like the Sport Elise/Motor Racing race car and it would be suited for the entire year due to its solid roof, so also for that one trackday.  

The past days Autogespot is entirely devoted to 2009. There is plenty to say about this year in which -again- thousands of new spots appeared on the website. Especially in the big cities, the number of spotted cars is growing quickly. We are talking about London and Paris, but Barcelona and Hamburg seem to be at least as interesting if we consider the number of new spots in these cities. In our ‘Exotic cars scrutinized’-series, we look into a few unknown and rare cars. For instance, you could have read about the Renault Sport Spider, the Bentley Continental SC and the BMW M1. Today, we put a relatively unknown Lamborghini in the spotlights, which was released in 1980 and was placed beneath the much better known Countach on the figurative stairway.  

The Modena trackdays already got some attention on Autogespot. Now we will present you a final episode of the articles about the Modena trackdays. No less than vice Formula 1 champion Jacky Ickx was present at the GP Strecke of the Nürburgring. Of course he wasn’t present to just look at the cars, he also drove around the track some laps. We were lucky enough to drive some laps with him!  

Bugatti acted quite weird at the begining of this year. There would be yet another special Veyron. The Centenaire is a model to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Bugatti. We could see a Veyron with a metallic and matte colour in Geneva. But in april scetches of the Centenaire (Dutch article) started popping up and we at Autogespot had live pictures from Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (Dutch article). Our photographer Adam spent a long weekend in London and visited a dealer where he came across one of these special Veyrons!  

One month after our last episode of "Best of..." we bring you an all new adorable list of exotics spotted in a city or village not as big as Monaco or Paris. Today we're going to fly you straight into Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle, two lovely townships located in the south of France. Saint-Tropez is well known for its wealth. Many rich people visit Saint-Tropez for the summer and some of them might even have a house or boat. The prestigious town is relatively small but that might be a reason why it attracts so many people each year. Good food, great wine, fine boulevards to show your expensive car and sandy beaches. The series "Cool license plates" has become a regularly returning column on Autogespot. In this way the cars that have a cool or remarkable license plate are shown in a funny way. For this episode of the “best of” series we travel to the south to the mundane Switzerland. Not to the capital, Bern, but to a city a bit more to the south next to a famous lake: Geneva! This city next to the water is gradually becoming a place to be and is certainly the best city in Switzerland for spotting. A large amount of Arabs flood Geneva in the summer and they bring their toys with them, topspots guaranteed! Recently we have seen many spots with extraordinary license plates. Of course we made a list for you with the coolest license plates. The nicest plates are still from England. Maybe in the Netherlands it's time for personalized license plates too? The Dutch government can make a lot of money on it.  

Cars come in many different colors. Blue, green, white, orange, boring-black and red. Red is often seen as a very subtle color, especially on a sport car. Red is also said to give your car a more sporty look. This article will give you an overview of how red looks on Audi because it's a color we don't see that often on an Audi.  

You have seen quite a few strange sightings on Autogespot already. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is a model which has been spotted a couple of times with rims that fit in the world of hiphop and r&b music. The last couple of years the Phantom has been the ultimate status-symbol. The old and the new generation are both interested in the Rolls-Royce, even considering the price tag of half a million euros in the Netherlands.  

China is a growing country. The economy is growing rapidly and lots of exclusive cars are appearing rapidly on the roads. The world-wide well-known car manufacturer Audi has set up several Audi Forums in the bigger cities. Some time ago spotter Tjan from China was visiting one of these Audi Forums that is located in Beijing, a photo report gives us a better idea what an Audi Forum actually is.  

Duesseldorf, Berlin or Munich? Hell no! Hamburg is the place to be! This German city has been providing Autogespot with lovely spots for a couple of years now. It's located just two hours from the Dutch border and the city has not really been discovered by Dutch spotters. A group of German folks has been uploading from Hamburg for a while now. Hamburg has a staggering 2031 spots and it might just be the most unknown city for car spotting which is that close to the Dutch border!  

The successful series of topspots that we started in the beginning of 2009 is coming to an end. The plan was to make a series of a couple of countries but that grew to almost every European country and also some other far away countries. The ten topspots that we finish with is a mountainous country in Europe, Austria.
