For this episode of the "matte colours"-series we were once again flooded with cars that are, most of the times, wrapped in matte black. In part twenty we don’t have any Porsches. Not because there were no wrapped Porsches uploaded, but because we gathered them in a special episode. We do see a lot of other brands such as Bentley and Wiesmann. Karl Jr. Mäzller, that is the owner of this purple/white Lamborghini. A Lamborghini is always working towards being as cool as possible, but lately, it has become more of a car for popstars, football players and supermodels. This last example is in fact the scene where the owner made his fortune, fashion. And fashionable people want to be noticed!  

Maybe you know the well-known movie of the Audi R8 V10. An R8 in the colour Ferrari red driving through the streets of Maranello. We don’t need to tell you that Maranello is the place in Italy where the Ferrari factory is located. Everything in this town is all about Ferrari. If it aren’t the factories, it's the restaurants that have Ferrari in their name, or the souvenir stores that sell Ferrari fan-articles.  

This really is an ideal spot to tell you that carspotting just is cool. While the rest of the world showed you press photos from Audi, we from Autogespot can show you a photo of an Audi A1 that was spotted out in the open in Barcelona. Early March it will be under the spotlight in Geneva, but it’s a lot cooler to see this little car in the wild.

Quite often, Autogespot receives spots in which the car is fitted with a special or matching license plate. In a lot of countries, there’s the opportunity to pick your own personalized license plate. This is nice, not only for the owner, but for bystanders without automotive knowledge as well. In this episode of the ‘cool license plates’-series, we see a couple of spots from the United States. If there is one country where you’d see a lot of personalized plates, it must be the USA. Especially the corvette is very popular over there, in its natural habitat and a lot cheaper than in Europe, for example. It is always nice to see the various creative license plates on these cars!  

What do you reckon is a good trade? Trading a Koenigsegg CCX for a Mercedes-Benz G-Class AMG? We have no idea what caused this. The Koenigsegg was spotted in Cannes last summer and now yet another car belonging to this man was photographed, this time in Dubai. It is the first Mercedes-Benz G-Class on Autogespot that was customized by A.R.T.  

From all parts of the world we now a days get scoops. We, from Autogespot, were the first with pictures of the 458 Italia from Belgium and the Netherlands. Also, we were the first who wrote about the Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss and the Ferrari 599 GTO. And we already had some pictures of the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster at Affolter in Geneva. But now again, a Reventón Roadster showed up and this time in Madrid.  

For this episode of the “matte colours” series we were once again flooded with cars that are, most of the times, wrapped in matte black. In part nineteen, seven out of the total of nineteen spots are Porsches. Besides, we see a 'wrapped' Aston Martin Vanquish. That's something we don't see that often. Porsches apparently are the most popular cars to wrap in matte black, especially the Cayenne. Audi's work fine in matte black as well, just like every part before in this series. Just keep reading and you’ll soon find out which cars we have listed this time!  

What can you do to make your Maserati GranTurismo S even more though than it already is? The MC Concept was a predecessor of the fierce variant which Maserati showed in 2008, with the MC Sport Line package. We had to wait a long time for this package but it seems like the first copy is spotted in Belgium!  

The Swiss city of Zürich is less known than Geneva, amongst the spotters. Yet, this city offers much for fans of cars and photography. Besides the necessary sports cars there are also a lot of luxury cars driving around in Zürich. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the perfect example here. Huge, luxury and classic. A classic car needs to have a classic colour. Or does it?  

Since 2004, Autogespot is engaged in building a database of special cars. What started as a hobby has grown to a website with visitors from all around the world. The more famous Autogespot gets, the more spots are uploaded from unknown countries. Today we can add Israel to that list and thus Israel is the 75th country added to Autogespot. Spotter 'audigek' was visiting Israel and took home a nice spot, a Corvette C6!  

Whether more than 550 bhp is enough for a SUV? Apparently not. The amount of horsepower of modern-day SUV’s exceed 600 bhp almost every time. The standard of a sporty SUV doesn’t seem sufficient. The BMW X6 M, which is actually a SAV, belongs in this category as well. Gemballa tunes the Porsche Cayenne to 750 bhp and Hamann makes the X6 M more powerful, as previous articles already showed.

Some of us are lucky enough to be able to drive a Porsche every day. Others may be happy if they own a Mitsubishi Carisma. Difference is inevitable. The same applies to Hamburg where spotter ExoticsOnRoad came across a Porsche 997 GT3 which looks quite cool. The owner possessed a Porsche before, which looked a lot like his newest acquisition, the GT3.  

Spotter Wimster has spotted the first for our southern neighbours! Just before he drove in the direction of a petrol station, he experienced a special moment. Wimster suddenly saw a trailer in front of him with quite a special car on it. For once no Ford Ka, Audi 80 or Opel Corsa but a very special Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Spider! This car is now registered in Italy but how long will that last? There’s quite a chance that this is the first one for Belgium. In Holland, we welcomed the open edition of the 8C Competizione already a while ago, but now the first one has arrived in Belgium as well!  

For this episode of the “matte colours” series we were once again flooded with cars that are, most of the times, wrapped in matte black. Once more, there is a varied supply of spots, including a very powerful 900 bhp Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06. Also, there is a couple of Audi’s, with a RS6 Avant C6 which has been spotted several times now. Just keep reading and you’ll soon find out which cars we have listed this time!  

On Autogespot we love special spots. Spots with a story, spots which took some effort or spots which just stand out, one way or another. We now have such a spot. Maybe you can still remember the spot of 'eldoub' of a special Ferrari F512M in Prague. In the queue we found a very special spot from the past. Spotted in Modena, so it could only be one brand, a Ferrari.  

In Holland, most of the time we see cars just parked in the suburbs or in the middle of the city. For example the P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam, by itself a nice location, but the surrounding houses just don’t give the pictures such a nice effect. Luckily, there are contrary, as we often see some spots on interesting locations. Similarly, this Ferrari 456 GT, which was spotted down under in the middle of nowhere.
