Today, the spot of the day can not be forgotten. We have chosen for a good old-fashioned spot, a spot with several special cars on the photo and it is a spot that is simply from the Netherlands. Not in Moscow, Monaco or London but just in Amsterdam. Today in the spot of the day, an Audi RS6 Avant C6 in combination with four other cars that are allowed on Autogespot.  

Supercars. They come in any size and type. There are the luxurious supercars, like the Bugatti Veyron or a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, and the true hardcore hypercars, such as a Caparo T1, Ariel Atom or a Gumpert Apollo. The spot from the German city Meerbusch, which we have chosen to be today’s spot of the day, certainly belongs to the category of hardcore supercars. Truly without compromise, not a lot of luxury, but oh so amazing. Today in the spotlights: a bizarre appearance called the Porsche 9ff GT9-R!

Welcome to Paris! The city of the Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triopmhe, Disneyland and the Louvre. Paris features more than these four tourist attractions. The French capital is also the perfect location to relax for just a few days. Besides the Seine, Île de la Cité, the Notre Dame and the La Defense business district, the city is also known for the famous cemetery Cimetière du Père-Lachaise. Paris is already for a long time a very accessible city for Dutch spotters, for the city is not too far away from the Netherlands. For this episode of “Best of.....” we once again travel to the capital of ‘La France’, Paris!  

A while ago we published the news that Ferrari was developing a superfast production-vehicle, which was going to be the Ferrari 599 GTO! Now, we have finally found spyshots of a camouflaged edition of the 599 GTO and besides, we have some pioneering information about this supercar!  

For car dealers, the intention is to sell as many cars as possible. Just selling cars the whole day will get you tired and bored. Therefore, two sales man in America had a good plan, “Let’s see how fast the cars go”. Autogespot would not be Autogespot when it isn’t about exclusive cars. This salesman reached a speed of 240 km/h in a Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4! However, it ended a little less funny for the driver.  

The Swiss city of Zürich is less known than Geneva, amongst the spotters. Yet, this city offers much for fans of cars and photography. Besides the necessary sports cars there are also a lot of luxury cars driving around in Zürich. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the perfect example here. Huge, luxury and classic. A classic car needs to have a classic colour. Or does it?  

Lego and cars, two things little boys dream about. At least... they used to. Some people leave it behind when puberty begins while others can’t leave it behind at all. You can make virtually anything with Lego, from simple fire stations to big cars. Via jalopnik.com we saw this nice piece of Lego.  

Via Ferrarichat.com, we recently found the first images of the Ferrari 599XX at the Valencia circuit. On Youtube we found a movie that supports the pictures and makes a good impression of the Ferrari 599XX on the track. The movie is also a good way to see how big and wide the car has become!  

Here it is again, the spot of the day! Today we have not chosen the nice Lamborghini which we had in mind for the spot of the day at first, but a decent Porsche 997 Turbo MKII. However, decent isn’t really the right word, as shown in the next spot. Brute, nice, fast and intrigue are more words that fit the spot of the day!

Since 2004, Autogespot is engaged in building a database of special cars. What started as a hobby has grown to a website with visitors from all around the world. The more famous Autogespot gets, the more spots are uploaded from unknown countries. Today we can add Israel to that list and thus Israel is the 75th country added to Autogespot. Spotter 'audigek' was visiting Israel and took home a nice spot, a Corvette C6!  

Last Saturday, a lethal accident has taken place in London. A while ago, we had a story about an accident involving a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV (Dutch article), and now a Lotus Exige S2 was totaled. Under the watchful eye of a policeman, the Lotus Exige spinned out of control and flipped over. Sadly, the driver doesn’t live to tell the story.  

We are living in an age where everyone needs to know from each other where he or she is and what we are doing. On Twitter we call that tweets. Of course it is not very interesting to know what your friend is doing. Autogespot is obviously much more important! Traditionally, we close with the well-known spot of the day. The spot that is highlighted today was pretty much expected. Today, we see a car which was first on the Top Gear ‘Power Lap Times’ chart for a long time, a car which can match itself against the Bugatti Veyron.  

In the meanwhile, a lot of top ten-lists have passed by, but only one of them was missing. This is the one after which we finally leave 2009 behind us. This time no cars but the women who take care of distraction at the larger carshows, like Frankfurt and Geneva. Who were the best? The women from Lamborghini or the pretty girl at Maserati in Geneva? Getting curious about who is in this erotic top ten? Just keep reading and you’ll find out soon!  

We have been in the new year for a month now and we have seen many lists of remarkable spots, sorted by country. Besides the spots, we have our other sections like news and photography on Autogespot. The photography-section includes a page of wallpapers on the website, where you are given the possibility to share your best pictures with the rest of the visitors, so that they can decorate their desktops. At the start of December, we have looked into five of the best wallpapers of the month November. Right now, we will do the same, but then not the best five of December, but the five best of the entire year 2009.  

Whether more than 550 bhp is enough for a SUV? Apparently not. The amount of horsepower of modern-day SUV’s exceed 600 bhp almost every time. The standard of a sporty SUV doesn’t seem sufficient. The BMW X6 M, which is actually a SAV, belongs in this category as well. Gemballa tunes the Porsche Cayenne to 750 bhp and Hamann makes the X6 M more powerful, as previous articles already showed.  

Sometimes we have days where the choice for the spot of the day isn’t very easy. Until you suddenly see a very remarkable car among the spots, one that literally stands above all the other spots. This Saleen S331 Supercab is a pick-up with horrific much power, an odd thing out in the Netherlands. So today in the spot of the day a big, white, pick-up truck!  

The country that is known for its flamingo and bull-fighting. We are of course talking about Spain. During the past year, the amount of Spanish visitors of Autogespot has increased tremendously. Especially from Marbella, Madrid en Barcelona, we have seen plenty of new, nice spots. To figure out if the new year will bring as many spots as last year, we’ll just have to wait till the end of this year.
