At RUF they didn’t care about the design, everything on this car was made for functionality. The CTR2 is built to go fast, and fast it is. The flat-six engine produces 520 or 570 bhp. RUF has produced 27 CTR2 supercars, twelve of these cars got 50 bhp extra. This will give this car a topspeed of 350 km/h, pretty impressive for a car from 1995! In the movie below you can see how fast this car really is. The 520 bhp strong engine will shoot you in 3,6 seconds to 100 km/h. These figures can be compared with the supercars of that era, just think about the XJ220, EB110, F40 and the Porsche 959. The base for this car was the 993 Turbo. Some call this the last ‘real’ 911, the next generations of the 911 didn’t use the traditional air cooling anymore.
