Lamborghini introduced the Gallardo Spyder two years after the Gallardo coupe introduction. It's not like bashing the top off, get some glue, get the canvas on and there we have a convertible. No, the Spyder is a completely new model. Engineers have studied for more than two years to get the car as it is right now. Opening and closing the roof takes about twenty seconds. This is very fast for a convertible. The process is a lot of fun so I can say from my own experience. The windows lower, the roof approaches you in the car and the windows close again. All that in just twenty seconds. The Gallardo Spyder is equipped with a five-liter-V10 which produces 520 bhp. The bull from Sant'Agata Bolognese needs 4.3 seconds to reach 100 kilometres per hour.
