Imagine yourself the following. You've worked your ass off the past year and you feel like you've definately earned something nice. After taxes you still have a nice amount of cash left and for some reason, you fancy buying a nice car. Unfortunately you're working in downtown London and a typical supercar might not really be perfect to drive around in Kensington. Is this a problem? Hmm, no, not really!
The Segrave Club is an exclusive club for people who don't want to buy an exclusive car but would really like to drive one some day. The Club is settled in a building that earlier housed a Maybach dealership. Rent-a-car for exotics. How does it work? We'll explain. First you pay a 5.000 GBP entry fee. This is just to get in the club. Yearly costs are 16.000 GBP so the first year will set you back 21.000 GBP. You get 1000 "points" which you can spend on renting supercars. Think about a Lamborghini LP640, McLaren SLR or Porsche Carrera GT. The LP640 costs 150 points for the weekend but the Bentley Continental GTC costs only nine points for any normal day. Quite a big difference. Remember that you have those 1000 points for one year, in theory, you can rent a Murcielago for six days before you run out of points.
Fifth Gear did some testing and they took three cars and parked them near London's most expensive department store: Harrods. What happens when you park a Porsche Carrera GT, McLaren SLR and Murcielago LP640 for ten minutes? Not together of course, separately. Just to see which car attracts the most people. Check the video and see what happens.
