At the Geneva motorshow Spyker introduced their newest model, the C8 Aileron. This LWB C8 will be a hot item on the American market because of the automatic gearbox. Yesterday Crispijn paid a visit to the Spyker factory and spotted this C8 Aileron.

The name Aileron is the name for a piece of the wing of a plane. On this pictures you can see a "normal"spyker-front and it looks like a normal Spyker C8 Spyder, but when you take a look at the back of the car you can see that it doesn't fit. They are probably testing the platform of the Aileron. The body of the normal C8 doesn't fit to the wheelbase of the car on the pictures. They extended the wheelbase to create more space in the car and for better handling. The extra space was also necessary to fit the automatic gearbox.



The engine will be the same 400 bhp V8 Audi engine as the one that is used in the current C8. With a big turbo on it, it could deliver 500 bhp.



The price of the C8 Aileron will be around 200.000 Euro for the version with the automatic gearbox and the stick-shift version will be available just under 200k. But thats the basic price. You still have to add some taxes.
