A while ago we’ve found an interesting Jaguar between the uploaded spots. It was a Jaguar XKR with a Jaguar factory licence plate. But we can see more, a fully stripped interior. Are they testing a new XK? We haven’t quite figured out what this is.

It is possible that Jaguar is developing a special version, just like Aston Martin did with the N400 and Mercedes is doing with the BlackSeries. Developing a light weight car, pure for track day use. We could be wrong but the front bumper looks different, it could just as well be a protection plate against small stones.
It can also be a slightly faster version of the XKR. Jaguar recently introduced the XKR-S, but this car hasn’t got any extra power. They are talking for a while about an XKR-R with a V8 that will produce 500 bhp. This car should be able to compete with the SL63 and M6. Right now the XKR is in the same range as the V8 Vantage and GranTurismo.
