Spotted: Porsche 996 Delavilla VRS

Delavilla? VRS? This in combination with Porsche? Never heard of it before! We all know the famous names like Gemballa, Techart, and Hamann in the tuning-world but we have never heard of Delavilla. It is sort of like a coach-building company that builds a faster and more attractive car requested by the customer. This car even has scissor-doors!

Scissor-doors are for Lamborghini's, not for a Porsche or Ferrari. In the brochure of Delavilla we read that they can customize the car in 34 places. You can think of the color, engine, chassis, rims, muffler, and other accessories. At the front of the car we see a bumper that seems much more aerodynamic than that of Porsche itself. The grill is also bigger. The back of the Delavilla VRS is wide! The company installed two, of different sizes, air-intakes on both sides. These take care of the cool air for the engine. If we walk farther to the back of the car we again see a double grill, which we have seen before on cars of RUF. The mufflers are remarkable yet visible. They seem to have come directly from the shelf of the Ferrari California or the Lexus IS-F. These kind of mufflers aren't always accepted positively and this is also the first time we see them on a Porsche. In the subtle yet present spoiler we again see two grooves to catch the cold air for the engine.

The body-work is built by Jacquemond from Brignais. The base of the car is a 996 Carrera 4S that is rebuilt to a 997 exterior. By looking at a few small details you can still see that it is a 996. Delavilla also tunes the engine, the power is changed to 415HP. That is quite a lot more. A nice detail is that the owner of the car gets a keychain of 53 grams of pure gold. The serial number of the car is in this keychain. Price? No clue! The brochure of the Delavilla VRS unfortunately does not show us any prices.
