Carlovers may go and give Audi a great big hug. The last few years Audi continually introduced great cars. Whether you name the Audi R8, Audi RS6 or the Audi A4. Every time they manage to go one step further than the competition. Also thanks to Audi Lamborghini is full of life. But the Germans are not planning on stopping this parade. There will be a new Audi Quattro!

We already wrote about it in April (Dutch article) that Audi was further developing the Audi A5 which was probably going to be named SportQuattro.

This secret project is probably to celebrate the one hundred year existence of Audi. Project Anniversario therefore isn’t being developed in the halls of the VAG-group to keep the rumour mill under control. A select group is working on the car that will be introduced between next year and 2012. It’s very unclear what’s true and what’s not.


The car has new shorter bumpers and new body panels. The spoilers will be a lot less discrete than on the S- and RS-series from Audi. The C shaped reinforcements will be quite a lot wider to make the car look more brutal. Which engine is going to power the car remains a mystery for now. A possibility is the Biturbo V6 or the V8. Of course we cannot forget about the new loved five-cylinder engine that powers the Audi TT-RS. If they spice it up it should be able to deliver 400 to 435 bhp.



Important is that the Audi SQ (SportQuattro) will be completely stripped, it isn’t a posh S5. As soon as some new info leaks we will definitely share it with you!
