Most car manufacturers won’t give out too many facts about the looks of the car without all the carbon, plastic and aluminium parts. Sometimes they show you a little bit, like Audi with their R8 commercial. In this commercial Audi shows you how they built the R8. We’ve found some extra information about the Porsche Carrera GT. You’ll be impressed of all the things you can find underneath the body of this Porsche.
The Porsche Carrera GT is a wonderful piece of engineering. Almost nobody can tell how this car looks without its “clothes” on. Usually Porsche won’t give any pictures or info about this but Culture garage has sound some images from a nude Carrera GT. These pictures show the Porsche without the most of its bodywork. Standing next to one you probably won’t think about all the technique underneath that spectacular body. Why should you think about stuff like this? If you see a brutal car like this you’ll probably look to its stunning looks, the massive V10 in the back and probably look to the interior as well. But underneath the spectacular body there is also a lot to see.
The first thing you notice on these pictures is the carbon chassis. This super light and very strong synthetic material makes sure this German supercar is very stiff. Apparently this all works perfect. Even when the Porsche breaks in half, the cockpit stays in one piece.
When you look at the total image of the nude Carrera GT you can see all of the shapes that improve the air resistance. Ofcourse you also get a nice look at the nice V10.
Every modern sports car has this much technique under the body. So next time try to think about this when you meet a supercar. Just don’t forget to make any pictures.
