The Audi R8: this is a massive move by Audi. Audi has already sold a lot of R8’s and our spotters have spotted a lot of them. But it’s a fact that you need to spend money to make money. Television commercials are a good way to spend some cash. The marketeers from Audi managed to make a few nice commercials for the R8. We would like to show them to you. We’ve also found the commercial which was used during the Superbowl. A short 1 minute commercial. A pretty expensive commercial, four million dollars, for only one minute of air time!  

All of you probably know that Arabs like to drive around in unique cars. They drive around in the strangest creations. Ferrari’s are changed in to staioncars. The Maserati Quattroporte has been changed into a one of a kind shooting brake version. Ofcourse this car will be bought by a wealthy Arab.  

The weather in the Netherlands is starting to get better. For us, carspotters, this is a good thing. A lot of car manufacturers will present their new topless cars. Tuner Novitec is one of the first to show their new creation. It’s time to meet the Novitec Ferrari F430 Spider Bi-Compressor.  

Audi will again present a new fast car! This will be a RS version of the Audi TT. Not a surprise it’s called the Audi TT RS. The car will be available with a fixed roof but, if you want to feel the wind through your hair, it’s also possible to order a convertible. We’ve found pictures of both cars in the snow. In weather conditions like this we think the roof won’t be coming down. In the summer this must be great, to hear the incredible sound from the RS engine!  

After the snow-drifting adventure of a Porsche GT3 RS, now there’s a chance to take your Lamborghini to the snowy track! Our bull loving Italian friends have given some Gallardo owners a snowdriving skills course (European Winter Academy) in Auronzo di Cadore, Cortina d’Ampezzo. Here, the guys at Lamborghini gave the Gallardo owners the chance to experience how the Gallardo handled with all its power on ice. This occurred in January.  

The pride of Holland, Spyker, is doing a bit better lately. Victor Müller went back to Spyker and some investers have put a lot of money in the company. Let's hope this Dutch car manufacturer will be around for a long time. This means it’s time to present you all the Spyker news of the last few weeks.  

A while ago we’ve already showed you the 8C Competizione and Eleanor. Right now we can show you another scoop for Autogespot. This is a true supercar, one that’s underestimated by many. Even a Ferrari Enzo can experience some problems racing this car, it’s unbelievably quick. We’re talking about the RUF CTR2.  

Diesel power! A while ago we’ve showed the Audi R8 V12 TDI. At the Detroit Motorshow Ferrari presented the Biofuel F430 conceptcar. According to AutoExpress the next in line is Mercedes!  

Finally, we’ve had some nice weather in the Netherlands. A perfect day to drive an exotic car. Ten degrees Celsius and some sunshine lured the cars out of their garages. One of the spotters from Autogespot was lucky enough to spot a white Murciélago Roadster!  

During the Naples Winter Wine Festival the first Bentley Brooklands, with a price tag of $450.000, has been sold. The entire $450.000 will be donated to an organisation for children.  

The Netherlands have not seen a real winter in quite a while. Quite a shame, really, because snow opens a lot of possibilities to have fun with your car! On the internet, we found a clip of a Nissan GT-R driving off a little mountain-road in the snow, in a truly astonishing way! And, as a little bonus, we have an older clip for you, of someone keeping control of his 911 in the snow, truly amazing!  

Every buyer of the FXX was told they couldn’t sell their FXX to anyone else than Ferrari. Despite this the first superexclusive Ferrari FXX has been sold in Dubai. The previous owner, who lives in Japan is a really large Ferrari-enthusiast. The reason why he sold his FXX is unknown.  

As most of you probably know it’s winter in Europe. In the Netherlands is doesn’t look like winter. No snow, no ice just a lot of wind and rain. This means it’s possible to spot some supercars. Due to this weather it’s possible to drive your supercar on a track, like for example Zandvoort. We’ve received some footage of a Bugatti Veyron which is racing a couple of laps through the dunes of Zandvoort! This happened a while ago, on Friday the 19th of January. It surprised us that no other spotter was on the track.  

We stay in Germany after our latest episode of this series. Last time we took a closer look at the McLaren SLR, this time we're going to check out a racing monster from the German town of Zuffenhausen, the Porsche 997 GT3 RS. This is once again a car that comes in many different colors, even though only four of them are standard, the other colors are available for a higher price as an option. Enjoy!  

License plates are something to stand out from the crowd and personalise your car with. In Dubai, some people are crazy enough to pay millions for plates with just one number. In England, the opportunity also exists to buy special license plates. One of the most special license plates in England, being ‘F1’, has lately been auctioned for $740,000. And that amount of money was paid by well-known tuner Kahn.  

As you might have noticed, today is SALE-day! And now, a quite well-known car is for sale: the Porsche Carrera GT with straight pipes, from California. This black-on-black Carrera GT is for sale at Caesar’s Palace. Did the owner finally get bored of the sound? Or will he get another, even more extreme car? Because the normal exhaust-pipes of this Carrera GT have been replaced with straight pipes (which means it has no silencers), this car blows out a terrorizing noise!  

We all know them, the car dealers that don’t sell the average cars, but only have exotics in their showrooms! For the real dreamers, it’s always nice to keep an eye on them, just in case…, because sometimes, they really have very nice toys for sale! One of the most well-known is ‘Autosalon Singen’, located in southern Germany, just north of Switzerland. Others like to use the internet to put their supercars on sale, like duPontREGISTRY and carclassic.com. We have selected the finest cars for you, in case you were looking for that one very rare exotic!

Here in the Netherlands, an Audi R8 will cost you almost €150,000.-, and with some nice options, it’ll quickly approach €200,000.-. Thanks to our government, that price is well above the price of an R8 in other European countries. However, in America, there is an R8 that costs even more, one American guy paid $425,000.- for it! And since America isn’t really that known for its high taxes, this R8 should be very special!  

As you might have read in the newspaper, Spyker is doing fine again! Really? We don't know but some very rich people invested a lot of money which just might have saved the company from bankrupcy. People who are interesting in buying a Spyker car from our very small country will get the original factory warranty so the risks have definately decreased. This might be the perfect time to empty your savings account and get yourself a Spyker!
