375 will be built of the McLaren P1 in total. A lot of copies will eventually head to North-America. Jay Leno is one of the happy owners, but that copy has not been built yet. Another P1 already is, as proved by the following pictures. It was spotted in Chicago which makes it the first American P1 on Autogespot!
The number of spotted P1s heads into the right direction. We didn't see the P1 in this dark red colour, Volcano Red, before. It looks more distinguished and calssy than a black copy, which looks especially brutal and aggressive. Spotter Jon first thought he was dealing with a Ferrari, then he was surprised by the fact that this is a P1.
The McLaren P1 is pole position when it comes to the most desirable hypercars of today. In 2013 the battle between the P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder began. After loads of reviews it seems the Porsche is the runner up and only the LaFerrari is tough enough to battle the P1. Will the P1 as legendary as the McLaren was groundbreaking back in its time? We can only tell you after twenty years.
