Ford Focus RS is now official

Earlier today we already showed you the first footage of the Ford Focus RS which is just unveiled in Cologne, Germany. We can now show you the first real photos of the car just like the specifications of this new RS model. We already knew that the car would produce over 320 hp thanks to a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine which we know from the Ford Mustang. We also knew that the Focus RS will have four-wheel drive. Do we know more by now?

During the livestream event organized by Ford, the entire world could enjoy the launch of the new Ford Focus RS. The entire history of the RS models was shown with the Ford Escort RS200 as a highlight. We couldn’t wait for the Focus RS and its specifications. It took Ford five years to come up with a new model and we can now finally show you this new model. As we already wrote a few times, the new Focus RS is powered by a 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine producing over 320 hp and four-wheel. You can adjust 70% of the power to the rear wheels which makes it possible to drift with this new Focus RS. The sprint to 100 kph takes 4.5 seconds and the car has a top speed of 250 kph. The Focus RS has been developed by Ken Block and he definitely know how to drive a Ford. We could see this during the presentation. A mini-gymkhana was made before the car was unveiled. It’s clear that Ford is trying to build a very good car and they paid a lot of attention to all important aspects of the car including the handling and aerodynamics.
