McLaren was the big center of the Paris Motor Show. We had to wait till the end of the day before they revealed the first stage of the P1. Now, in Geneva, the big magic has happened and the car was even completely revealed before the exhibition. The car is waiting for the public for a few days already, without a curtain over the car. We know that the car has 916 hp and is powered by a V8 and a hybrid engine.
This V8 produces 727 hp and the hybrid engine produces another 176 hp. This 176 hp is always ready and the torque of the electric engine is available from zero rpm. That’s why the P1 sprints to 100 kph in a crazy time of three seconds. The 200 kph is reached in less than seven seconds and 300 kph is even done in seventeen seconds. The digital speedometer won’t pass the limited speed of 350 kph.
Electrical, you can drive twenty kilometers. That comes in handy when you enter an LEZ and you want to go for shopping or to have a drink.
