A big surprise when we entered the Geneva Motor Show. The company Gumpert was showing off with an Apollo S and a new concept model. Last August, Gumpert went officially bankrupt but on some way they managed to show up on the Geneva Motor Show with the Explosion. The Explosion is a concept car which is developed in cooperation with the English company Formvision.
The Explosion has to come in two versions, the Explosion and the Explosion S where the S stands for Sport. The most powerful version is fitted with a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine producing 510 hp and 625 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm. We don't know anything about the specifications yet and they're still 'Top secret'. The standard Explosion is fitted with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. This engine produces up to 420 hp and 520 Nm of torque at 4550 rpm. We don't know the exact plans of Gumpert but it's a great thing that they're present on the Geneva Motor Show!
