Geneva 2014: Pagani Huayra

Unfortunately Pagani didn’t bring the Huayra Roadster to Geneva but they did bring a beautiful yellow Huayra Coupé. Or do you still prefer the more spectacular Zonda Revolución?

There’s not much news about the Huayra but it’s still an amazing hypercar when you see it with your own eyes. Pagani shows a new copy in a spectacular colour every year. This year it’s a Geneva Yellow coloured Huayra. A colour which was used on a few Zondas before.

Designing the Huayra took five years. Hundreds of sketches were made to redevelop the Zonda and come up with a new model. According to Pagani it was a hard job to combine the proportions with the looks of a supercar. Not all hypercars are really beautiful, take the Gumpert Apollo for example, but the looks of the Huayra are just impressive! Since the introduction in 2011, it’s still a very special appearance which we love to see!

Especially for the Huayra, Pagani built a new monocoque which is made out of carbon-titanium. The material is very important for the weight of the car as well as the strength of the car. The supercar is like a wing and breaks the boundaries on aerodynamic field. Depending on what you need, less downforce or more downforce, the wings will adjust. The intakes on the side are a reference to the most supersonic plane from the fifties and sixties, the Dassault Mirage IV.
