It's just like always with BMW. After a while they come up with a Competition Pack of every M model. Earlier we've already seen it with the M5, M6 and M3 (E92). Now the M3 (F80) and M4 (F82 and F83) are equipped with this package. Let's see what you will get as an extra.
At first the power is increased with 19 hp to a total of 450 hp. That's a nice extra but it's not that shocking. This power boost makes both models sprint to 100 kph 0.1 seconds faster than the versions without the Competition Pack.
Something you might notice better is the adjusted suspension. New springs, dampers and stabilizers with three models will give the car a more sporty character. Next to that, the active M differential and the traction control are also optimized for a more sporty character. This promises to be good, especially when you know that the M3 and M4 are already really sharp driving models. Eventually BMW installed a M sport exhaust to make the car sound even better.
On the exterior we see a black window frame, black exhaust tips and a black grille. We recognize the new wheels from the M4 GTS and they look pretty good! In the interior we find lightweight sports seats and seat belts with the M colors.
Overall BMW did quite a good job with the Competition Pack! We don't know the price yet but we estimate it to be between 5.000 and 10.000 euros. That's a lot of money but it does make your M3 or M4 more special!
