Goodwood 2013: SIN R1

The Munich company Sin Cars GmbH, in corporation with the British ProFormance Metals, is coming up with a new supercar. The SIN R1 was presented in Goodwood. Will this LEGO-like sports car really be a success? We’ll see in the upcoming year.

Worldwide, a lot of companies come up with new cars, supercars and hypercars. It’s a big dream for some entrepreneurs to build their own supercar. The SIN R1 is made from the exact same dream. The company didn’t choose to build their own engine but they took one from General Motors. They choose for the LS3 engine and after some modifications, this engine now produces 525 hp. Next to that, a lot of carbon fiber makes this car weigh only 960 kilograms.

The Porsche six speed gearbox makes this car accelerate to 96 kph in just 2.5 seconds and the top speed will be at 320 kph.
