IAA 2015: Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé Concept

Next to the IAA Concept, Mercedes brought another concept to the show in Frankfurt, the GLC Coupé. In this case it's not about what Mercedes wants to offer us in five or ten years but what can be found in their showrooms next year. They already confirmed that they're working on a production model of the GLC Coupé, just like they confirmed an AMG sport version. A 'real' AMG version isn't confirmed yet although this concept is painted in the colour 'Solarbeam Yellow', a popular colour for AMG versions.

Imagine the GLC Coupé as a smaller GLE Coupé, because Mercedes now follows BMW in a segment lower to come up with an SUV Coupé. Using the term Coupé to describe these cars just doesn't feel right but so be it. The concept looks like the GLC with some sharper drawn headlights, a beaten back and slim taillights that look like the units Mercedes used for the S-Class Coupé, C-Class Coupé, AMG GT and the earlier mentioned GLE Coupé. Further the car has pretty extreme bumpers and double exhausts on both sides, positioned just like the Lexus IS-F and Ferrari California. We're pretty sure that the final production model will look a bit more conventional.
