IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-AMG are partners for years already. Ten years this year to be exact. Time to crown their partnership with a unique and innovative watch of which only 25 copies will be build. The Swiss watch manufacturer showed the new 'AMG GT' version of the Ingenieur Automatic, world's very first watch with a completely pure boriumcarbid crafted case. The name and the design of the limited watch are a homage to the new Mercedes-AMG GT.
As the first company in the industry, the case of the watch is made out of the hightech ceramic material boriumcarbid, one of the hardest and scratch resistant materials in the world. The design of the watch is inspired by the styling of the AMG GT. The black colour of the watch is accentuated by the yellow details with a reference to the exclusive AMG colour 'solarbeam'. The rubber band has yellow stitching with a black inlay of innovative DINAMICA microfiber, a reference to the steering wheel, seats and roof in the new Mercedes-AMG GT.
