The database of Autogespot keeps on growing and meanwhile we have over 500.000 spots in it. A few of these spots are the McLaren P1. The hypercar of this moment together with the LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. In Belgium, a lucky owner recently got the keys of his very own one-off P1.
From colourful copies to a sinister one. On Autogespot you can see a lot of different P1s. This copy looks dark with its completely dark paint. The composition of the car is unique with matte black and glossy paint. We can't see any bare carbon fiber because all these parts are painted in a glossy black colour. Red calipers create some contrast and create a very brutal and powerful P1.
Carbon fiber and hybrid technology are the key words which make the P1 so special. The car is extremely lightweight and thanks to the hybrid technology also very environmentally friendly. The V8 mid-engine produces 727 hp and the hybrid engine adds another 176 hp. This 176 hp is always available and the torque of the electric engines is available from zero rpm. That's why the P1 sprints to 100 kph in no-time. The sprint from zero to 200 kph takes less than seven seconds and 300 kph is reached within seventeen seconds. The digital speedometer will stop at a limited top speed of 350 kph.
