The American Jim Glickenhaus is a big car fanatic but thanks to his wealth he can do things a lot different than other car fanatics. The Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina was built especially by him and this year he will bring a new developed piece of art to Geneva, the SCG 003.
For years people have worked on this 'game changer'. It's a street legal supercar which refers to the LMP1/LMP2 series. The SCG003 is the idea of the perfect GT by Jim Glickenhaus. Under the leadership of designer Lowie Vermeersch and Goran Popovic this car was designed. Paolo Catone was asked for the technology, he developed the Peugeot 908 racer which won Le Mans in 2009, just like Podium Engineering. The car isn't powered by a Ferrari V8 but a 3.5 liter V6 Honda engine. This engine is developed by Autotecnica Motori.
It's clear that this car is made by the same recipe as Glickenhaus did before. Beautiful fluent lines and a lot of carbon fiber make the SCG003 a lovely supercar.
The car will be on sale for individuals and Glickenhaus will come up with a street legal version as well as a race version. Glickenhaus will participated in the 24 hours of the Nürburgring in the SCG003C. We will bring you more information about this model live from the Geneva Motor Show.
