Is spotting in London being prohibited?

Today some very remarkable news reached us. The so-called 'Supercar Season' started off in London again, attracting many Arabs with their supercars and hypercars. Of course, these guys attract many spotters trying to catch a glimpse of their awesomeness. However, this is exactly what the police in London tries to ban. It even got to the point where spotters couldn't enter the area around Knightsbridge for 48 hours!

According to the police the spotters cause the Arabs to show off in the city by revving their engines and blasting down the street full throttle. It's commonly known that the citizens of London are sick and tired of the behaviour of the Arabs and the noise they produce with their cars. The police thinks that introducing an area ban for 48 hours is a new and effective way to make it less appealing for arabs to take out their sportscars and winding them out in the inner city.

We don't know if this area ban is just experimental or one-time only, since we don't see too many reports of it. Based on this, we don't issue a negative travel advice for spotters who want to go to London. There are still plenty of things to see there and the chance that you get caught for taking pictures with your camera is very small!
