Na een bezoek aan Bellagio, Lecco en Milaan, kwam ook Como aan de beurt. Como is allereerst de stad waarnaar het meer vernoemd is, maar tevens de geboorteplaats van Alessandro Volta (de ontdekker van de elektrische batterij) en vormt een van de voornaamste grensovergangen met Zwitserland. Het absolute hoogtepunt van die dag werd niet gevormd door de metershoge Dom van Como, maar door een babyblauwe, Arabische (!) Ferrari 599 GTO. Tot grote ergernis van mezelf, was ik te laat om die te spotten. Als geringe troostprijs dook deze Maserati Spyder plots op tussen een heel stel saaie, grauwe auto’s. Zoals wellicht al te zien is op de foto's, maakte het lekkere zomerweer plaats voor een dreigend, donker onweer. Gecombineerd met enige haast resulteerde dit in niet al te beste foto's :{
