Aston Martin, the brand known of traditions, the conservative stronghold in a progressive industry. Where almost every car manufacturer uses turbocharged engines, Aston Martin still used a naturally aspirated 6.0 V12, until now.
In the following movie we see the newest Aston Martin engine, a 5.2 liter V12 with two turbos which is completely developed in their own factory, without any help from Mercedes-AMG. This engine will probably power the new DB11 which will be introduced on the Geneva Motor Show. The movie reassures me, the characteristic sound still seems to be there. When you start using turbos the sound of the engine will always change, but Aston Martin seems to have managed to keep the sound intact.
What about the power? We don't know anything official yet. People are talking about a power of over 600 hp, which seems very realistic. The torque will also increase because that's what happens when you add some turbos. Well, for now we only have the following movie by Aston Martin but the future looks really good!
