My name is Neelesh Purmanun, I'm 20 years old and a petrolhead from Mauritius. I'm writing this story to share an event that took place around two weeks ago here whereby a 2013 Nissan GT-R was publicly presented to the Mauritian market.
You might think that it's not a really big deal but if you look at spots on Autogespot for Mauritius, you'll see only 2 among which one is mine. This conclude to that fact that there are very few supercars here and not so many spotters as well.
However though, since the last couple of years, supercars are being imported onto the island and are starting to attract attention.A dedicated Porshce showroom has also been opened recently. The GT-R in question, is a 2013 model with Pearl White paint job with a black and red leather interior. This model is not available here as you would expect Lamborghinis to be available in the UK, and is purchased only on special order, therefore making this car extremely rare on Mauritian soil. I was also informed that it would cost around US $ 300k excluding insurance!
As I said earlier, supercars are rare here and therefore, as a petrolhead, when I got the chance to shoot this car, I didn't waste a second a grabbed my DSLR camera and starting shooting from all angles. I even got to sit in it and this being my first GT-R I saw ever in my life. It was an incredible experience and would really like to share it with other petrolheads on Autogespot.
