A while ago we published the news that Ferrari was developing a superfast production-vehicle, which was going to be the Ferrari 599 GTO! Now, we have finally found spyshots of a camouflaged edition of the 599 GTO and besides, we have some pioneering information about this supercar!
Unfortunately, this new Ferrari won’t be revealed at next month’s Geneva autoshow but in Beijing, later this year. But now, we can already unveil a couple of facts about this 599 GTO, which is supposed to become the fastest production Ferrari of all times! This supercar will be placed onto 285 millimeter wide tires in the front and 315 millimeter wide tires in the back. The rims will measure at least 20 inch. The car’s platform is based on the HGTE edition of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, but with adjusted suspension. Supposedly, the GTO will produce double the amount of downforce, compared to the 599 GTB HGTE.
Braking should go better with a set of second generation disks. These are lighter, smaller and more powerful! Regarding power, the 599 GTO will produce 670 bhp, as we mentioned before. As you can see on the pictures, the exhaust are going to be placed equally to the ordinary 599 GTB. The gearbox was improved as well. Shifting now only takes 60 milliseconds!
We have saved the best for last: the Ferrari 599 GTO will be provided with the original colour from the 250 GTO. The current plan is that 599 copies will be produced!
