A Total of 250 customers of Jaguar will be the Lucky owners of the spectacular Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7. The chance to see this Jaguar on the streets will be very small. Lucky there’s the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris to take a closer look at this supercar.

The Project 7 is a very important and historic model of Jaguar. It’s the first model from the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations department. This new department will only develop limited models. With the Project 7 they set the criterion. Jaguar managed to win the 24 hours of Le Mans for seven times and that’s why this model got the name Project 7. The model is developed as a car for the track. More raw, more powerful and still very British.

The developed F-TYPE Project 7 is powered by the 5.0 V8 supercharged engine from the F-TYPE R Coupé. This engine now produces 575 hp. The sprint to 100 kph takes 3.9 second and the top speed is limited at 300 kph but that will be fast enough in a roadster.

With its completely aluminum bodywork, the F-TYPE Project 7 weighs only 1.585 kilograms. That’s 80 kilograms less than the F-TYPE V8 S Convertible. The trunk, hood, powervents in the front fenders and the mirrors are made out of carbon fiber.
