Paris 2014: Mercedes-AMG C 63

The subtle name change is something we all need to get used to. From now on new AMG models will have the name Mercedes-AMG and this means that the addition AMG will be removed in the name. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 is the newest AMG model and we’re looking forward to this car. After the amazing cars of BMW, the M3 and M4, AMG has to come up with something great.

The power is gained from a V8 and this means that Mercedes-AMG is only downsizing the engine capacity and not the type of engine. The power is increased thanks to the addition of two turbos. Standard, the C 63 produces 475 hp but the S package produces 510 hp. The sprint to 100 kph takes 4.2 seconds and 4.1 seconds for the S version. What we were really wondering about were the looks of the car. Will this version be just as brutal and imposing as the predecessor, the C 63 AMG. This model looked very aggressive and so does its successor. Bigger bumpers, four exhausts, a big set of wheels and a very powerful diffuser complete the car. The car looks great on the stand and we’re wondering what it will look like on the streets!
