Together with for instance the Porsche 911, the Ford Mustang Shelby is one of the oldest car models but still on sale today. Since 1965 Mustangs were tuned by Shelby, an establishment of Carroll Shelby, the American racing legend who recently died. Shelby didn't power up the engine, it also improves the looks of the car. In the French town La Baule-Escoublac the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 was spotted, together with its older brother, the Ford Shelby GT350.
Both cars are build with the principals of 'there is no substitute for cubic inches'. Both equipped with an enormous V8, they both produce much power, as well as a lovely soundtrack. The Mustang Shelby GT350 has the pure American sound, were the GT500 sounds more civilized however, that’s relative. With the GT500 you’ll go from 0 to 62 in around 4 seconds, but that doesn’t make the old version slow. Still, the older one is not less desirable as the new one, maybe even nicer than the new one!
