Porsche confirms: no model below the Porsche Boxster!
The need to expand has its limits, even at Porsche. Porsche just confirmed a statement that the Porsche Boxster will stay the cheapest model of all the Porsche models. This is logical, because Porsche wants to keep its image as a sports car brand. They will produce a lot of new models in the upcoming years so it was possible that they would also present a model below the Porsche Boxster.
Porsche fanatics can be happy. The phenomenal driving Porsche Boxster won't get a little brother. With such a car we immediately think of a car like the Mazda MX-5. Porsche says that buying a Porsche has to be special and that the cheapest models will stay the Boxster and the Macan. We wonder how long Porsche will hang on to this position because Porsche grabs every opportunity to present new models!
