Yesterday we already wrote that you could follow the introduction of the Corvette Stingray via a livestream. After the introduction, all the details were released. We can now enjoy the new Corvette which already got a lot of attention on Autogespot. The Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard Corvette ever, with an estimated power of 450 bhp and 610 Nm of torque.
This is the first standard model which is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in less than four seconds and which can generate more than 1G grip in corners. So this Corvette isn’t only made for straights, like the previous models. The complete new Corvette Stingray shares only two components with the previous generation. The car has a complete new structure, a new chassis, a new drive, new technologies and a completely new design for the interior and exterior. The Stingray has multiple carbon fiber prats, including a hood, roof panel, fenders, doors and a carbon fiber underside.
The Corvette Stingray will be available from the third quarter of 2013. Until then we will see the car every now and then when they’re testing it.
