Jaguar has a new entry level model with their XE. But this isn't an entry level model like the X-Type back in the days. The XE is more sporty and has a great handling according to some of the first reviews. This gives us quite a high expectation of this model. The current range of models will be extended in the future.
According to BMW Blog, the enormous V8 will still be produced for a while. With the trend of downsizing, especially a lot of six-cylinder engines, in the class of the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and some other models there's a big chance for Jaguar. There's enough room in the front to power the XE by this V8. In the F-TYPE, this engine produces a stunning 500 or even 550 hp in the XF R-S. Jaguar can make a superlative step with this engine compared with its competitors. Jaguar's sports department, SVR, already showed us that they're capable of building a powerful Jaguar and the XE might just be the next step for this department.
