Special car on the streets: Lotus 2-Eleven John Player Special
The name John Player Special will sound familiar to some of you. Up to eighteen years this name was found on the Formula-1 cars from Lotus. These cars were chosen as the most beautiful race cars several times. Rightly, because the colour combination of black and gold gave the race cars something special. Lotus continues this history by launching the special editions of the Lotus Elise and the Lotus 2-Eleven. A copy of the 2-Eleven was recently spotted in Belgium!
Lotus managed to get 252 bhp from the little 1.8 liters engine. This doesn’t look much, but with only 670 kilograms of weight it is pretty fun to ride. You will reach 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and the maximum speed of the car is 250 km/h. Don’t forget there are no windows in this car. Everything that normally get blocked by the windows will now be blocked by your jacket or helmet. It adds a lot of feeling to the driving experience and this makes the Lotus a special car. With the special colour combination you can count on sympathy from the elderly and this makes this car even more unique!
