Special dark blue BMW M1 spotted!
The BMW M1 is BMW's sports icon. Just a car BMW is missing nowadays to compete with the Audi R8 and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. At the end of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, BMW did have a leading model when you were talking about street legal race cars. This was the BMW M1 and even nowadays this car isn't slow! We've seen a blue copy only once before, recently the second copy was uploaded on our website.
As competitor of the Ferrari's, Aston Martins and Lotuses of that time, BMW presented the M1. A model which could produce between 277 and 950 bhp, regarding it's setup. Built with cooperation of Lamborghini, this was a pretty good car. The BMW M1 is built as homologation model for a racing class BMW wanted to compete. The condition was that 400 copies had to be build, so this happened. With a maximum speed of 262 km/h you will pass many cars on the Autobahn. Though, with an acceleration of 5.9 seconds to get to 100 km/h you will be a bit slower than modern cars. People who don't know this car will probably not know what's happening. The BMW M1 is quite rare. You must be happy when you see one, especially a rare dark blue copy like this one!
