Spyspot: Mercedes-Benz SLC Mule
Mercedes-Benz would love to have a bigger share on the market in the segment of the Porsche 911. Especially because Jaguar is working on the F-type, Mercedes-Benz has to come up with a good competitor. They are planning to do this with the Mercedes-Benz SLC AMG and a mule of this car was spotted on the German Autobahn by joepbrons recently.
The SLC AMG will be positioned under the SLS AMG. It will be smaller as its big brother and probably won’t get the famous Gullwing doors. Presumably Mercedes-Benz will make a top model and a basis model. This basis version will probably get a V6 engine in 2015. The top version can get a four liters V8 with two turbos. On the pictures we see the looks of the SLS AMG only with a shortened wheelbase. The exhausts come from the future SLS AMG Black Series, they did this to confuse everyone. The body panels of the SLS AMG don’t really fit on the undercarriage. We don’t know anything about the final design of the SLC AMG yet so we have to wait until Mercedes-Benz finally decides to drive around with the production version or to present a concept model of the SLC AMG.
