A good driver can drive a sporty car in a fast time across the Nürburgring. Those who need nine to ten minutes is doing great. Then, there are also daredevils who keep searching for the best time in a production car. One of the fastest production cars in the world and on the Nordschleife is the Dodge Viper SRT-10. Only, this copy is tuned by ACR. One of the four limited 7.12 Editions was spotted.

The 7.12 Edition stands for seven minutes and twelve seconds. That’s the time this copy needed to complete a lap of 20 kilometers and 600 meters. A Dodge dealership in Texas, Tomball Dodge, offered two ACRs to break the record in 2011. Driver Dominik Farnbacher managed to set this record and he managed to be faster than others in a Corvette ZR1 and a Lexus LF-A Nürburgring Edition. There are only two cars faster than the Dodge, Radical and Gumpert. Though Porsche also says that their new 918 Spyder will be faster than seven minutes. According to the spotters, this is the actual copy that set the record, the signatures on the spoiler refer to the record attempt.

Under the hood we find the standard 8.4 liters aluminum V10 which produces 600 hp and 760 Nm of torque. This makes you sprint to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds and results in a top speed of 317 kph. But, power is not the most important, the handling of the car is. That’s why the ACR Viper has a lot of spoilers to create enough downforce.
