Topspot: very special Porsche 935 K3

We go back to the year of 1979. Many of us aren’t born yet, the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 aren’t made yet and Lamborghini offered the legendary Lamborghini Countach. Still, there already was a car which offered a bizarre performance and stayed under the legendary border of 950 kilograms. The Porsche 935 K3 is an absolute supercar and maybe one of the most unknown cars which produces more than 800 hp.

The car is so good that it even won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. It managed to stay ahead of all its competitors in the rain and a standard Porsche 935 K3 came in second. A legend was born and it will always be a legend. The unusual ‘slantnose’ has something unique and it makes the Porsche 935 easy to recognize. A lot of other special models are based on this car but the 935 K3, with its 800 hp is one of the fastest models ever built.

The 950 kilograms weighing car is helped by the downforce which is created by the enormous spoiler on the back. The wheel-base of the car is widened to create more stability and grip, something you can use on the Nürburgring. You have to be a real daredevil to take this car on the track because this car doesn’t only have a high historical value, the car’s also worth a lot of money. It’s a real classic, with an amazing performance!
