On the 3rd of June 2011, we received a press report about the Audi R8 GT Spyder. Since that time, we didn't hear many more about this German convertible, limited to 333 copies. Even the spotters don't see or spot it, only eight different copies are spotted. This makes it far more exclusive than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. However, Bavariaspotter managed to spot a new copy in München.
This open trackday car from Audi is fitted with the Ultra Lightweight Technology, stemming from Audi's Le Mans racers. This means nothing less than using carbon fiber rather than other materials. It doesn't only save weight, but it also makes the Audi faster. Also the engine is slightly tuned, to 560 bhp and with that, the R8 does zero to 62 in just 3.8 seconds. The R8 GT Spyder can be recognized by a big back spoiler and many other carbon fiber details.

What a lucky guys in Belgium. Loads of supercars are registered on license plates there, it looks like there is no crisis there. This Audi R8 GT Spyder, a really lovely car!
Regularly, we as the crew of Autogespot discuss if some Audi models like the S4 and S5 are exclusive enough for our website. Are the S5 and S6 exclusive enough to be added on Autogespot? And the other models, what about them? A model which belongs on Autogespot for sure is the Audi R8 GT Spyder....
Special post-war Mercedes-Benzes, these are very unknown cars. Despite that die-hard collectors are prepared to pay several million euros for a special and rare edition, like the Mercedes-Benz 540K. With a warm jacket and the climate control in the right setting driving a modern car open isn’t horrible, even with the cold temperatures at the moment in München. Our colleague Jaggie captured an orange Audi R8 V10 Spyder where we can tell you a lot about.
This is how fast it can go! On the 5th of December, the Audi RS6 Avant C7 was officially revealed for the public and now, just before 2013 starts, the car is already spotted! Not very strange, this car was spotted in Germany, the place to be for fast super stations!
Cruising on the highway, you decide to flat out. You drive way above 300 kph and you start to hear a strange sound followed by a bang. You lose control over the car and the wall next to the highway starts to come very close. A blowout at 300 kph isn't much luck but followed by a crash into a wall...
Idiots in traffic. You see them everywhere. Driving on the middle lane while the others are completely empty or just simply hit a red light. In Russia, it's even worse. Cutting you off, braking in front of you or just stop on the middle of the streets seems to be quite normal. The driver of the...
All over the world events are organized for those who own a special car. Down under, where supercars are quite rare, they also organize these events. Kuleo0z was present at the Antilag Racewars event on Wyalkatchem Airport, in western Australia. He made some pictures of some special cars which we...
If there’s one perfect place for spotting many Lamborghinis, then it must be Miami. Dozens of Lamborghinis can be found, and always there are some extraordinary copies, like this one. Despite we’ve seen more matte black Aventadors, it’s still very awesome to see, especially when it is captured...
